Vonnegut, offering up a deeper reflection on the expression fake it till you make it.
What I take away from this is that we all feel like phonies. We’re all “pretending” to be someone/something. So be sure of what you love and just go live it, do it, be it. That’s what you will be. Don’t doubt yourself- see yourself how others see you.
I don’t think my conclusion is the one that he intended readers to have (if anyone out there knows the context of the novel- you’ll see what I’m saying)… but I digress.
